project description

a unique situation

For the popular podcast Slo Mo by Mo Gawdat, former executive at Google X, MOTIK recorded and edited a series of video podcasts during his stay in the Netherlands. One of the most remarkable recordings was a two-hour conversation with Astrid Holleeder and Miljuschka. This profound interview, full of emotional and powerful moments, covers themes such as family, fear, love, strength, survival, integrity, and the courage to be your true self. A unique aspect of these recordings was the challenge of keeping Astrid Holleeder off-camera, for which we used four carefully positioned cameras. The publication of this podcast on August 29 made a significant impression, leading to attention on RTL Boulevard that same evening, where the impressive conversation was highlighted. Regional media also picked up the news, swiftly bringing widespread media attention to the podcast.

The Challenge of Anonymity

The recording of the conversation with Astrid Holleeder was a unique situation. Normally, Astrid never appears in the media. But she made an exception for this podcast. Our approach ensured that the conversation proceeded naturally and uninterrupted, while Astrid's anonymity remained fully guaranteed.

Podcast in the Media

The publication of the podcast led to significant attention in various media. Several news platforms and journalists wrote extensively about the interview, delving deeper into the discussed themes. This wide media attention confirms the importance of the themes and the power of the stories shared in the podcast.
